Well! Isn't That... What Blogs Are For?

All tired, worn-out, second-hand sentences! So sad!

I've decided to try a few other half-assed ventures for at least the next several months. Don't worry... I have this dumb domain name for a couple of years, the online equivalent of the administration at (0-3 0-4 0-5) Notre Dame being stuck with Charlie Weis until the year 2029. But at least I could score against Michigan.

"Shut up, you FUCK!"

Later, dude. Let us know where we can find you on the internets, if at all.

Posted by: John at September 16, 2007 07:10 PM

Good luck to you and the 2-0(!?!) Texans.

Posted by: Will at September 16, 2007 08:59 PM

Guess I'll have to write my own damned captions now.

Dogspeed, Norbiz.

Noticed all austin bloggers is too heat exhausted/hung over/wore out to post anything for day 3. But didn't Billy Joe Shaver and the Decemberists almost blot out the vocal train wreck that was Bob Dylan? And didn't sneaking in box wine beat the all get out of paying hyperinflated alcohol prices? Not that I did that, just sayin'.

are you off careering? May Pikachu, various Sky Fairies and the Lord Criterion be with you. drop a line if you're ever in houston with some time to spare to look for vinyl.

Posted by: dex at September 17, 2007 10:59 AM

Weak.

Posted by: scarshapedstar at September 17, 2007 11:54 AM

But who will singlehandedly hold the fort down for the Left?

Posted by: Kathleen at September 17, 2007 11:58 AM

Is it to late to tell you that I love you?

Posted by: calling all toasters at September 17, 2007 10:06 PM

Well hell, you add me to your blogroll after like FOUR FREAKING YEARS and then you QUIT BLOGGING a week later!

In the immortal words of Ignignokt, you are thought of highly by those without jobs!

Meh. Good luck I guess. Come back soon, in some form or another.

Posted by: Res Publica at September 17, 2007 10:29 PM

Sorry to hear it. I'll miss the blog, it was on my regular rotation and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Posted by: Stacia at September 18, 2007 05:20 AM

When's the Friars Club Roast?

Posted by: roy edroso at September 18, 2007 09:03 AM

Damn! And I just got a puppy! A furry one, too.

Come back after you re-charge. Please.

Posted by: mark at September 18, 2007 12:34 PM

Well, damn. Can't say I'm surprised, but I am bummed. If you're serious about it, you'll definitely be missed.

Posted by: Tom Hilton at September 18, 2007 01:23 PM

Norbiz,

Kevin from Catch.com here. Good luck with everything. You are a damn funny man and those ventures of yours are lucky bastards.

Posted by: Kevin K. at September 18, 2007 01:51 PM

I understand, I understand. I'm sorry, though. Rest up and come back soon....

Posted by: Steve M. at September 18, 2007 02:12 PM

Damn you! We will be lost without happy furry puppy times.

Posted by: Lesley at September 18, 2007 03:33 PM

I understand. Just please come back. I promise to comment more.

Posted by: mustang sally at September 18, 2007 03:53 PM

The front lines of Snarkk are a hard, unforgiving place to blog.

ditto to all above, but I'll miss that stop on my daily blog rounds, right between the Group News Blog and Huffington.

And, for just a moment there, I thought that picture of your dog with his duck was a picture of our new dog. except his duck is much more....mauled.

Vaya Con Dios. See you around the Lefty Tubes.

Sad to see a fellow Texan go, but I will be waiting for ya. Not taking you off my favorites. See how much faith I have.

Posted by: cebm at September 18, 2007 04:44 PM

Know what I blame this on the downfall of? Society.

Posted by: FlipYrWhig at September 18, 2007 06:20 PM

Boo. Booooooooooo!

Come back soon, champ.

Posted by: Otto Man at September 18, 2007 09:31 PM

I'll miss you, and Merle and the captions the most. Come back whenever you can. Believe me, we'll still be here. I keep checking Billmon's place on the off chance. Meanwhile, enjoy the Real Life thing but remember: it's too expensive, there's no "undo", and the damned program's still buggy as hell.

Posted by: D. Sidhe at September 18, 2007 10:24 PM

Shane, come back!

Oh.

Well, at least we get to tell you now how much we've appreciated your work.

We will miss you.

Posted by: Ereshkigal at September 18, 2007 10:50 PM

Hey...Welcome to retirement! Now that you have all this free time you'll have to jump in the old golf cart and cruise over for a visit (I'm in unit #9 just behind the clubhouse - but don't you dare drive over my lawn, you bastard). The first round of metamucil's on me.

Posted by: Pete M. at September 18, 2007 11:33 PM

People are going to think you and I are the same person. Kinda like Lonnie Anderson and Bert Convey.

Posted by: Roxanne at September 19, 2007 03:57 AM

Come back soon!

Posted by: sa at September 19, 2007 07:45 AM

We'll be waiting. Best o' luck with the new thangs.

Posted by: RobW at September 19, 2007 07:55 AM

What is there to say? We'll miss you. And your silly, stupid, wonderful captions.

Bonne chance.

Posted by: Tim at September 19, 2007 08:54 AM

Hey, this looks like an interesting place. What's going on?

Posted by: Keifus at September 19, 2007 01:43 PM

Nothing anymore!

Posted by: norbizness at September 19, 2007 02:01 PM

i might as well ask, are Wiley Cat and Wiley Kitten related to Wiley Coyote? Was there a breakfast cereal? Did I sleep thru a decade?

Posted by: paperpusher at September 20, 2007 07:55 AM

Bad form? I only stumbled by a month ago. Take care, man.

Posted by: Keifus at September 20, 2007 08:25 AM

Harumph.
