Panic in Beantown I: The Pre-Party

Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter was not confused by John Kerry's 54-mph "fastball" and deposited it in the bleachers above the Green Monster.

"Is there something you'd rather be doing than marching up and down the square, randomly firing pre-emptive tear gas canisters at peaceful, elderly protestors?" "We'd like to see a movie." "Right! Off you go!"

Mr. Markie, does Reverend Sharpton got what you need? How can you say with absolute certainty that he's just a friend?

Restroom's over there, Mr. Gephardt. Aw, damn. These were new slacks.

Free speech... you get what you pay for.

Good catch on the cops and razor wire! I got kicked off of Daily Kos for noting how ironic it was that the Democrats had adopted our (God's Own Administration's) agenda when it comes to free speech, i.e., "free speech is speech we agree with". Darn DEMON-crats, they're *ALWAYS* stealing the agenda of us good God-fearing Republicans!

Yours in anger at Democratic perfidity,
Your Attorney General

Unless they've been added recently, there are no bleachers above the Green Monster. However, all is not lost. There is a screen into which 'taters are deposited.

So I see. The view from there must suck, but there are so few seats up there that they probably charge a premium for them. Another example of marketing something at a high price to people who just want to say: "Nyah, nyah, I'm special and you're not!"

I saw my first big league game at Fenway in 1974. Bill the Spaceman Lee whupped the White Sox. I paid 75 cents to sit in the sucky seats in right.
